Pairing Your Apple Pencil with Your iPad

Pairing Apple Pencil (1st Generation):

  1. Remove the Cap:

    • Remove the cap from the end of your Apple Pencil to reveal the Lightning connector.
  2. Connect to Your iPad:

    • Plug the Lightning connector into the Lightning port on your iPad. Ensure your iPad is unlocked when you do this.
  3. Pair Your Apple Pencil:

    • A prompt should appear on your iPad screen asking if you want to pair the Apple Pencil. Tap "Pair" to connect.
    • If the prompt does not appear, ensure Bluetooth is enabled. Go to "Settings," select "Bluetooth," and make sure it is turned on.

  1. Attach the Apple Pencil to Your iPad:

    • Place the flat side of the Apple Pencil on the magnetic connector located on the right side of your iPad.
  2. Pair Your Apple Pencil:

    • When you attach the Apple Pencil, a prompt should appear on your iPad screen asking if you want to pair the Apple Pencil. Tap "Pair" to connect.
    • If the prompt does not appear, ensure Bluetooth is enabled. Go to "Settings," select "Bluetooth," and make sure it is turned on.

  • Compatibility:
