Plug™ Launches Financial Aid Program Offering Exclusive Tech Deals to Support Full-Time Students

Today, Plug™, a provider of Certified Pre-Owned technology available at up to 70% off other retailers, announced the launch of Plug Financial Aid, a service offering that provides exclusive deals to full-time students in need of MacBooks, iPads, and phones in order to succeed in their educational objectives.

“In today’s cash-strapped and increasingly competitive world of education, students need affordable access to great technology,” commented Plug founder and CEO, Oday Alyatim. “Plug is dedicated to helping young minds succeed in school and beyond. That’s why we are setting aside $250,000 worth of technology and making it available to full-time students at unprecedented prices.”

Awardees are given access to a private website featuring a wide range of technology available via these exclusive deals.

“The application process is simple,” Alyatim continued. “We only ask for the applicant to explain why having access to the program will help them in their academic goals. We then connect them to a private catalog of approved devices through which they can shop based on their specific needs.”

The company intends to offer several rounds of awards between now and mid-September, with the first awards being made available in the next few weeks.

About Plug

A family-owned business headquartered in St. Louis, MO, Plug provides a worldwide customer base with pre-owned technology that passes the company’s rigorous 90-point inspection and cleansing protocols. The result is devices that look and function like new that are available for a fraction of the cost typically associated with new consumer electronics. Plug Financial Aid goes one step further, slashing prices even further in pursuit of the needs of students and their families, many of whom may not have had access to these devices.
